Apparently, it is to help reduce phishing attacks to the bank of America online banking website. Well, since I just wasted 25 minutes of my time setting this thing up, I’m going to waste your time forcing you to read about it rather pointless “feature”.
Essentially, the theory behind SiteKey is that you enter your “Online ID” on the bofa.com front page and hit the submit button. By brian, on December 8th, 2005 Remember to spread the word that the time Dec 31 23:59:59 2005 will advance to Dec 31 23:59:60 2005 before the year rollover to Jan 01 00:00:00 2006 due to a leap-second. Luckily, the Linux ctime() function call allows for leap-seconds. Since I’m sure only Eric & I read this blog, I suspect it’ll only be him and I counting down the new year properly: 10… 9… 8… 7… 6… 5… 4… 3… 2… 1… 0… Happy New year! w00t!
By brian, on December 1st, 2005 The only problem with being forced to mount your satellite dish on the roof due to Condo/multi-dwelling unit rules?
No way to get to the dish to wipe the snow off the LNB. My neighbors own the upstairs patio, and I have a feeling they’d get suspicous of someone climing up their wall in the late evening to fix his dish. The vast majority of my channels are now de-watchable until the snow melts. The spot beam signals are still pretty strong (Transponder 18 is the Seattle locals). Cingular’s iTunes phone? Ha… its $149 with a 2 year agreement. I’ve been with Cingular 10 months and already can’t stand them. My Nokia 6230 was free after rebates with a 1 year agreement. The ROKR has a 512MB memory card, yet is software-restricted to 100 audio tracks. As of this writing, I have a 2GB memory card in my 6230 with 270 songs. Although the user interface on the 6230 isn’t elegent with this many tracks, it serves its purpose for me quite well. …

By brian, on October 28th, 2005 I got my Nokia 6230b back today from the wonderful people at iUnlock. I must say, they provide an awesome service and I highly recommend them to anybody with a GSM phone.
I purchased the nokia 6230b firmware upgrade to version 5.50 (my phone ran Cingular’s 4.43) with decustomization. On Monday, October 24th, I shipped it out via UPS 2-day AM service. On Wednesday, I received an e-mail from iUnlock stating my phone was received, upgraded, tested, and shipped back via 2-day air with a tracking number. On Friday at Noon, I received my phone back. How easy was that. You can’t even get service like that from Cingular (who’s …
